If you've been waiting—for more time, more quiet, more inspiration—to write:
Welcome. This is the place is for you.
We are two sisters living and writing in Portland, Maine. We’ve taught writing at the college level, freelanced and worked on-staff at national magazines, and written a novel and a poetry manuscript in the margins.
We write in our day jobs — and despite them. Through Wild Light Writing Collective, we help others do the same. We offer workshops, accountability, mentorship, and community to help you make space for writing despite competing responsibilities and imperfect conditions.
You don’t need uninterrupted time to make your writing happen. Time is at the bus stop, in the checkout line, on the train home from work. A novel is made of uncollected minutes.
So if you've been waiting—for more time, more quiet, more inspiration, more expertise—pick up your pencil.
The sun doesn't hold still for the painter. She pins sunrise to paper anyway.
